This one began with a comment.
After the summer film, hundreds of you wrote to me – more than I ever expected – and I read every single one. Somewhere in that flood of messages was a short note from a woman in Michigan. She said that after fifty-one years of marriage, her husband still calls out to her from the kitchen window the first time it snows every year. Same two words. Every year. And she still gets up and goes to him.
I read that line and sat there for a long while. Because that is the whole thing, isn’t it? Not the big anniversaries. Not the photographs on the wall. Just someone calling you to the window because the sky is doing something beautiful, and you going, because it’s them.
For anyone who is new here: this all started with an empty wall in my room. I needed a painting, and instead of buying one, I decided to make one. I chose to paint the people who have lived enough years to truly understand light – and one painting turned into something bigger. An album called THE SEASONS. Four chapters, four seasons, one lifetime. Summer came first. This is Winter.
Winter was the chapter I was most afraid of. I worried it would come out cold, or lonely, or sad – and the people this album is made for have already earned better than that. So I painted every scene by one rule: cold outside, warm inside. Snow on the roof, amber in the window. A red scarf in a blue field. Somebody’s hand already reaching for somebody else’s.
And then I understood what winter actually is, and it isn’t an ending at all. It’s the one hour of the year when time folds. When the first snow falls, you’re not seventy-eight. You’re standing under a streetlamp the night you met. You’re on white church steps in a borrowed coat. You’re at every window you’ve ever stood at, all at once. Snow doesn’t bury what we love – it tucks it in. And every first snowfall, we get to begin again.
That’s the song. “First Snow” is for the woman in Michigan, for the man still calling her to the window, and for every one of you who has weathered more than your share and still comes running when someone says look.
Come see. It’s snowing.

This is an original scenic music film – every scene, lyric and note written and directed by me. It celebrates the quiet beauty of winter through the eyes of those in their golden years: elderly couples on snowy porches, cabin windows glowing amber at blue hour, a red cardinal on a frosted branch, two sets of footprints crossing an untouched field, and one slow dance in the snow. Every frame was composed and refined by hand until it felt like a living oil painting – snow white and icy blue, pierced by a single warm light. AI was the brush I painted with; a brush has never once decided what to paint.
“First Snow” is my own song, from my own lyrics and musical direction – a cinematic winter ballad led by a haunting cello over a slow heartbeat groove, with celesta falling like snowflakes and a warm choir answering the chorus. Made to be replayed on a quiet snowy evening.
Its message is a hopeful one: winter is not an ending. It’s the season when a lifetime of memories comes home. When the first snow falls, we are every age we have ever been – and we begin again.

🎬 How This Film Was Made (Original Work, AI-Assisted)
Every idea, image, word and note in this film is mine. AI was simply the brush – it doesn’t paint on its own:
Midjourney + Nano Banana Pro – the brushes I used to paint my own winter world
Veo 3 – brought my paintings into gentle cinematic motion (4K)
Suno – the instrument that voiced my original lyrics and musical direction
Story, painting direction, editing, and emotional intent – fully human-led, guided by love and respect for older generations
AI was the brush, but the hand and the heart behind it are human.
I read every comment, and honestly, they’re my favorite part of all this – one of them became this entire film. If “First Snow” reminded you of a window you still run to, a hand you still hold, or a winter you’ll never forget, I would be honored to hear about it below. Your stories are the reason THE SEASONS exists.
Thank you for spending this quiet hour with me. It’s snowing, love. Come see.
