About: DreadClub: Vampire’s Verdict emerged in July ’24 as the first fully AI-generated animated feature film ever made and the first full length AI-anime. Made on a budget of $400, the film’s cutting edge AI technology was a modern miracle; never before has it been possible to make an animated film completely solo for almost no cost. Upon release, the film was the most critically acclaimed in my career scoring 75 % on RottenTomatoes and winning two awards for Best Animated Film and one award for Best Director on the festival circuit. I dealt with many attacks making this movie which are documented in the “Making of DreadClub” book. I have also been battling other filmmakers trying to take the claim of ‘first’ despite releasing their films 4-6 months after mine. I made DreadClub to inspire future filmmakers who want to make films but may not have the money or the resources. AI is the future of cinema–the old guard has left nothing for us, we have to build it ourselves.
