The film is set for release in the UAE on October 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>HOBA <\/em>tells the story of a devoted wife and mother whose life begins to unravel when her husband returns home with a second wife and an unseen darkness infiltrates her home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ben Ross, CEO of Image Nation<\/strong>, said:\u201c <em>HOBA <\/em>is a bold and compelling film that demonstrates the power of local storytelling on a global stage. We\u2019re excited to be part of a project that pushes the boundaries of psychological horror while introducing audiences to a powerful up and coming voice in genre filmmaking.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starring Emirati actress <strong>Bdoor Mohammed<\/strong> (<em>Blood Wedding<\/em>, <em>25 Fils<\/em>) in a commanding lead role as the first wife, Amani, the film also features Saudi artist and filmmaker <strong>Sarah Taibah<\/strong> (<em>Jameel Jeddan<\/em>, <em>Night Courier<\/em>) as the enigmatic second wife, Zahra. Rising talent <strong>Iman Doghoz<\/strong> (<em>Makr<\/em>, <em>Kaboos<\/em>) portrays Amani\u2019s vulnerable daughter, while Emirati actor <strong>Jassem AlKharraz<\/strong> (<em>Zawaj Ella Roba&#8217;a<\/em>, <em>Ala Gad Alhal<\/em>, <em>Wadima and Halima<\/em>) plays her father, Khalid. Together, the cast brings to life a deeply resonant story about family bonds, emotional conflict and the unseen forces that test them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Produced by horror genre veterans <strong>Roy Lee<\/strong> (<em>Barbarian<\/em>, <em>It<\/em>), <strong>Steven Schneider<\/strong> (<em>Insidious<\/em>, <em>Paranormal Activity<\/em>), <strong>Derek Dauchy<\/strong> (<em>Late Night with the Devil, The Plague<\/em>) and <strong>Rami Yasin<\/strong> (<em>Hokum)<\/em> the film blends supernatural tension with culturally grounded storytelling, offering a uniquely regional take on universal fears. <strong>Mohamed Hefzy<\/strong> (<em>Flight 404,Voy! Voy! Voy!)<\/em> is Executive Producer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>HOBA <\/em>marks a return to the genre for Majid Al Ansari, whose breakout debut <em>Zinzana<\/em> earned international acclaim and became the first Arab language film acquired by Netflix.
